Hoodkicks Registration
HoodKicks Soccer will run for families in the ANA, ENAK and KENA Neighbourhoods this Spring, starting mid May!
We will organize and run the 2025 season then we are looking for two volunteers to run it next year for the 2026 season. Please send us an email if you are interested and we will help you get set up for the 2026 season.
Soccer will run on Wednesday evenings from May 14th until June 25th at the soccer field in Knollwood Park (by Sheppard School) at 6 p.m. and will run from half an hour to 45 minutes depending on the age group.

Due to the high volume of children in the neighbourhood, this program is only open to those that live within the ANA/ENAK/KENA boundaries.
As always, this program is run 100% on our volunteers, so please consider volunteering to be a coach so we can continue to run this fantastic program. We will make an effort to have at least two coaches per team.

ABUZZ in the ANA

Abuzz in ANA
A few ANA neighbours started a local project called Abuzz in ANA in late 2022. We invited ANA residents to simply grow bee-friendly plants native to our area in their gardens. We offered education and a garden kit to help people make a difference for their children and community, in the midst of climate change and a pandemic. We wanted our habitat to become more hospitable, support pollinators, decrease water run-off, and add more diverse plants and wildlife right here.
In each of 2023 and 2024, twenty-five neighbours purchased and planted a dozen pollinator plants in their gardens, initially as a pilot boulevard project done in partnership with Reep Green Solutions. Each garden kit had 4 species that flowered in different seasons, with varied shapes, textures and colours. In total, six species were provided over the two years.
Look for the Abuzz in ANA sign and these plants as you walk around the neighbourhood!
After 2 years, the original Abuzz in ANA Committee finished their work. We thank all of the garden sponsors for their gardens and interest! We are proud of the collective impact that we have made on our neighbourhood and the fun we have had. And we offer further thanks to the Auditorium Neighbourhood Association and Reep Green Solutions for their partnership!
While this neighbourhood project has ended, we encourage ANA neighbours to still grow native and pollinator friendly plants. Check out Reep Green Solutions for more information.

Neighbours of a Certain Age
Date: Tuesday, February 18th
Time: 1 – 3 p.m.
Location: Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 322 East Ave
Description: Join your neighbours for a presentation by Mark Simon, lawyer who grew up in the neighbourhood, who will discuss wills and estates. Neighbours of any age are welcome!
Hoodkicks Registration
Date: Saturday, March 1st
Time: 9 a.m.
Description: If you have a child who will be 2.5 or older by May 2025 you can sign up for our neighbourhood soccer league, Hoodkicks. Hoodkicks runs every Wednesday evening from (time). ANA’s 7th Annual House Tour
Date: Sunday, March 2nd
Time: 1 – 4 p.m.
Location: Houses around the ANA neighbourhood.
Description: The tour showcases 7 beautiful homes in our neighbourhood. There are only 120 tickets being sold so don’t delay! All proceeds will go to The Working Center, a local charity.

Chilli and Mac Cookoff
Date: Saturday, March 22nd
Time: 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Location: Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 322 East Ave
Description: Join neighbours for one of ANA’s most popular events and enjoy some delicious chilli. You can sign up to bring chilli and/or mac and cheese which will be voted on by our neighbourhood celebs or you can come to eat all the chilli and mac and cheese and participate in voting in the people’s choice award. Please bring your own dishes, cutlery and muffin tins for the various tastings.

Bike Scavenger Hunt
Hey cyclists!
It’s that time of year again. The 5th Annual ANA/ENAK Bike Scavenger Hunt is Sunday, November 3 at 10:30am.
Choose your length – 5ish km, 10ish km, 15ish km or longer. Any bike will do and bike trailers will be fine. Family friendly .
When? Sunday, November 3, 10:30am in Knollwood Park (311 East Ave) pavilion to pick up your map and get instructions.
Cost? Suggested donation of $3-$5 to cover the map costs.

Disc Golf
Register for the Inaugural Tournament
You are invited to register for the 2nd Annual Neighbourhood Disc Golf Tournament. The Auditorium and Eastwood Neighbourhood Associations are once again coming together to host a disc golf tournament welcoming all skill levels.
Where: Montgomery Park Disc Golf Course on Montgomery Road.
When: Sunday Nov 10. Arrive 9:45 am for a 10am “shotgun” start

Tournament Format: 9 holes. 18 Teams (each team is 2 people).
Total partner score (both partners play complete rounds and total their score).
Prizes for top 3 teams. Requirements: 2 people per team (Teens & older). At least 1 disc per personThe first 18 teams to register will make the cut.

Crokinole Tournament: Sharpen your skills for our first annual crokinole tournament. Whether you’re a seasoned pro or new to the game, all levels are welcome.
